Sylvia Kavita Kumares All Set To Report On Malaysia’s Special Olympics Athletes In Berlin

KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 – It is an exciting period for former national badminton player Sylvia Kavita Kumares who is all set to volunteer for a day at the Special Olympics World Games (WG) in Berlin from June 17-26 this year.

But that is not all. She is also preparing to report on the WG for the Weekly Echo, particularly on the performances of Malaysia’s 22 athletes who will be participating in the games in six sporting events, namely swimming, bocce, badminton, athletics, table tennis and bowling.

For Sylvia, who is currently pursuing a degree in sports science in Munich, and co-incidently doing her thesis on the Special Olympics, reporting on the WG is expected to be a huge opportunity not only for learning and enjoying the games up close, but also getting to report it live through Weekly Echo’s social media platforms namely Instagram and Facebook.
