KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 – A golden opportunity for young Malaysians who aspire to experience everything Japanese! The Japanese Government is once again inviting eligible candidates from Malaysia to pursue their higher education in the land of the rising sun.
The Embassy of Japan here has announced that the Japanese Government (MONBUKAGAKUSHO: MEXT) SCHOLARSHIPS 2022 is now open for Malaysians aged between 17 and 25 years as of 1st April 2021.
Apart from SPM students, those who have completed their STPM, UEC, Matriculation or Diploma may also apply with their respective results, a press statement issued by the Embassy here said. Applicants are expected to have a good command of English or Japanese with excellent result in other major subjects.
During the term of the scholarship, monthly allowances of approximately 117 ,000 yen or approximately RM4,400 will be given to undergraduate grantee (amount subject to change). Fees of the entrance examination, matriculation and tuition at universities will be exempted. A round-trip airplane ticket is also provided.
Every year, the Japanese Government offers international scholarships under MEXT (The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) with the aim of enhancing international competitiveness and promoting the active exchange of international students in Japanese universities.
