SANTA BARBARA, June 7 – Local media in the US and the UK today reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have welcomed their second child, a baby girl born in a hospital here Friday.
Both mother and child are healthy and well, the media reporting quoting a statement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said in a statement.
The girl has been named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The couple said they named their second child Lilibet after the Royal Family’s nickname for the Queen, the baby’s great-grandmother.
Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honour her “beloved late grandmother”, the Princess of Wales, the statement said.
