Vaccination for those above 18 in Klang Valley takes off

KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 – Vaccine injection under the third phase of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme, involving adults over the age of 18 in Klang Valley took off today.

The Health Ministry in its Facebook today said that the new Vaccine Centre (PPV) of Bukit Jalil National Stadium, which started its operations today, will concentrate on vaccination for those under 40 years in the Klang Valley.

The PPV has a capacity of 10,000 doses a day.

As of June 20, a total of 5,815,575 doses of vaccines have been given administered to people in Malaysia, to fight the COVID-19 including the 140,573 doses provided on June 20.

A total of 4,202,601 people have taken their first first doses and 1,612,974 have taken their second dose.
