Close to 2 million in Malaysia have taken two doses of COVID-19 vaccine

PUTRAJAYA, June 25 – Close to two million people in Malaysia have received their second dose of vaccination to fight the COVID-19, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba said in his Twitter posting today.

As of June 24, a total 4,924,334 people have taken their first dose while the full amount of those who have received their second doses as well stand at 1,898,770.

All in, a total of 6,823,104 doses of vaccines have been administered with Thursday, June 24 seeing the highest daily number of vaccine doses given out on a single day at 268,604 doses.

The number of individuals vaccinated with their second doses in Selangor also rose close to quarter million as of Thursday.

Meanwhile in Kuala Lumpur, 800,000 individuals have taken their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Health Ministry also reported that of today, a total of 5,812 new cases of the virus infection had been reported.
