Maxis adds colour to Raya with a film on youth taking responsibility

Maxis’ film “Kali Pertama Raya” features the story of Nadia, who takes on the responsibility for the first time to organise the family’s Raya celebration, from food to the guests’ list.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 – Telecommunications company Maxis has added colour to this Hari Raya Aidifiltri celebration with a film featuring a short story on how a youth takes responsibility for the first time organising the family’s celebration.

In a press release today, Maxis said the film, Kali Pertama Raya, sought to give a spotlight on Gen Zs and the joy of giving.

The story is about how Nadia starts organising the family’s Raya celebration from marketing to calling the guests and how she slips up on the guest list…only to find a quick solution for it with all ending well. It has already garnered 1.5 viewers on YouTube.

“The film highlights their journey of taking on new responsibilities, feeling empowered and proudly giving back to their families. It also touches on the importance of staying connected with loved ones and the role of technology in making the festive season extra special.

“Maxis is excited to share our Raya film, which represents a unique embodiment of Malaysian
