Kunzang Chokhor Ling Buddhist Association To Hold Tripataka Parade on Wesak Day

PETALING JAYA, May 3 – The Kunzang Chokhor Ling Buddhist Association here will be holding a Blessing Ceremony and Tripitaka Parade in conjunction with Wesak Day celebrations on Thursday, May 4th this year.

In a recent statement issued here, a spokeswoman for the association said that several events have been lined up to mark Wesak Day, including “Treasury of Blessing- A Practice of Buddha Sakyamuni”, led by Palden Nyima Rinpoche, performances as well as games. Vegetarian lunch and dinner will be also served at the association’s premises at level 2 in Plaza Seri Setia here from 12pm to 2pm, and 5pm to 6pm respectively.

On the Tripataka parade, which will start at 6 in the evening, the spokeswoman said: “The solemn Buddha statue in the light parade represents the “Body” of the Buddha, The Tripitaka, a complete collection of the Buddha’s threefold eighty-four thousand teachings, represents the Buddha’s “dharma”; the monks represent the “sangha”. Whether it is seen, heard or blown by the wind, it can eliminate disasters for humans and non-humans, and obtain inconceivable and infinite merits.”
