PENANG, June 7 – Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Nor seems to be courting Notoriety again, this time he is said to have uttered an expletive in Hokkien during during his speech at a ceramah in Permatang Pauh on Saturday (June 3).
He has broken not one but two rules of the country’s Rukun Negara first by not giving respect to the Federal Constitution and now behaving in contrary to the principle of “Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan” or good behaviour and morality, said several women who protested his behaviour during a press conference given by the Adun of Sungai Pinang, Lim Siew Khim at the police headquarters in Timur Laut here. She had earlier lodged a police report on Sanusi.
Earlier on Sunday, he was also criticised for his bad behaviour by Penang PKR Wanita Chief Nurhidayah Rose who said: “He represents an Islamist party but his behaviour is contrary to Islam.”
Lim said as a man of such stature, being a leader, should not have uttered such words in the company of many people from children to women and other men.
“He should have shown some respect, and by using such a word he has set a bad example,” she said.
She hoped police will investigate and take appropriate action against Sanusi.
