KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 – As of March 11, a total of 249,909 Malaysians have received their dose of vaccine against the COVID-19, Minister of Health Dr Adham Baba said in his Twitter posting today.
The recipients for the immunization under the country’s first phase were from all the sixteen states.
According to the tweet, the highest number of vaccinations was done in Selangor where a total of 299,202 received their dose of the vaccine followed by Sarawak with 28,212.
The arrival of vaccine in Malaysia has boosted confidence generally. While the process is expected to take a while before a good number of Malaysians get vaccinated, there is more hope now that general activities may return — never like before perhaps — but at least to the extent of a less fearful society.
