Alibaba to provide 300 Malaysians with free online training for KOL livestreaming, video production

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 – Multinational company Alibaba Group is once again bringing its LiveNOW Training Programme, with added features and the hope of equipping up to 300 Malaysians nationwide with skills in the business of interactive e-commerce and online video production.

In a recent statement, the Group said the new 2022 edition of the corporate social responsibility initiative for Malaysians, has been remodelled from the 2020 version to upskill and reskill more Malaysians, including the B40 group and other underserved communities, and help them unlock potential opportunities in the interactive e-commerce world.

Designed for individuals who are interested in exploring a career as a KOL (Key Opinion Leader) live-streamer or online video producer, the LiveNOW programme is also relevant for business owners, especially micro-entrepreneurs, who are keen to host their own livestream or produce their own e-commerce videos to deepen consumer engagement.

All training sessions will be held online to accommodate more participants across the country.

This year’s programme will be conducted in collaboration with MODEN KOL Academy and with the support from Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), MYNIC Bhd, Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) and Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC).
