KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 – The beach of Pantai Tengah in Langkawi Island is all set to “host” a two-day international beach festival – The Blow – featuring live music from the likes of Awie, Alleycats, XPDC, K-Clique, Big Ali (US), DJ Idem (Ch) and Alyph (SG).
Set to take off on June 9 at the Holiday Villa Beach Resort and Spa here, the event will also feature international acts from the US, China and Singapore.
Local buskers are also expected to take the stage, a recent press statement from the organisers said.
Apart from the music, ticket buyers to the festival will also get to enjoy browsing through the local stalls set up at the festival grounds, grab a bite, swim in the pool or enjoy cultural performances at the venue.
“There will also be a beach volley ball and soccer tournament taking place sometime in the evening. Children are allowed from 12 pm to 8pm. From 8pm onwards the Festival grounds are only for adults 18 and above,” the statement said.
