(Updated) Bowling Pair Win Malaysia’s First Gold In Berlin Special Olympics

BERLIN, June 22 – Lee Khai Li and Khairul Zaim Kamarulzaman won Malaysia’s first gold medal at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin.

The team won in the Doubles Bowling D11 category. Gibraltar took the second spot, Panama third and Poland 4th the fourth place.

Other winners at the games, where Malaysia has sent 22 athletes and 6 unified partners, were Wafi Anas Mohd Khairul Anuar who took the bronze medal for Bocce Men’s Singles M14 and Syakila Nasir and Safri Ramis who won the silver in the badminton mixed doubles.
