LONDON, April 9 – Britain’s Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, has died just over a month short of marking the age of 100 in June this year.
An announcement on the official website of the Buckingham Palace announced the following:
It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.
Meanwhile, Weekly-Echo’s writer in London, reported that many were reacting with shock over the announcement and sadness that he was just only slightly more than a month away from celebrating his 100 years of age.
