PUTRAJAYA, Jan 4: Negligence on the part of a contractor has been attributed to a crane collapsing on the railway tracks in Rawang, Tranport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook announced today.
He said the incident, which took place on December 12, also resulted in Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd losing more than RM2.4 million.
Speaking in a press conference at his ministry today, Loke said there were no train services running through the route following the incident.
This caused a lot inconveniences for KTMB as the particular route served more than 20,000 passengers comprising both the ETS and Komuter users.
