KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 29: Cult Creative Sdn Bhd, which recently launched its Creator Platform – an avenue for social media content creators to be matched with brandowners seeking for organic advertising material – expects to boost the income and opportunities for content creators through their innovative platform.

The social media has changed many of the traditional ways companies advertise their products now, especially the shift to digital advertising from traditional advertising, said the CEO and co-founder of Cult Creative, Shermaine Wong.

In tandem with growing content and storytelling by consumers and influencers, there have been also a rise in demand for organic content that resonates with the audience, she said, pointing out how the Creative Platform would be able to help match this demand by bringing together brands and the content creators under a single roof.

The pitching takes place on the platform and the brands are matched authentically with the content creators using data-based algorithms that take into account their respective profiles, work, and requirements.

Co-founder and chief marketing officer, Lina Esa said the company would be also organising mini courses, workshops and talks that would help the content creators coming onboard their platform.

She also said they would continue to work with advertising agencies and the media and that they were not competitors but friends. While the landscape has changed, the opportunity to complement each other’s business is there.

Shermaine said the company currently had a total of 3,000 content creators in their network and over the past year, a total of RM700,000 were paid out to 2,700 of them, adding that operational efficiency made it easier for them to ensure that both the content creators are paid in time while clients received their materials on time . She said they also had more than 400 clients currently.
