EPF declares 6.30 pct dividend for both conventional, shariah savings

KUALA LUMPUR, March 1: The Employees Provident Fund has announced a higher dividend rate of 6.30 percent for both the conventional savings and shariah accounts for 2024, representing a total payout amount of RM73.2 billion for 2024.

For the financial year ended Dec 31, 2024, the EPF recorded gross investment income of RM74.46 billion, up 11 pct from RM66.99 billion in 2023.

In a statement posted on its site today, the EPF said the total payout for the conventional savings will amount to RM63.05 billion and the payout for the shariah savings will amount to RM10.19 billion.

The total investment income for the year ended 31 December 2024 at RM74.46 billion was 11 percent higher than the RM66.99 billion recorded in 2023.

The national savings entity’s investment assets grew to RM1,249.71 billion for 2024, an increase of 10 percent from RM1,135.82 the previous year.

It attributed the increase to portfolio income and net contributions of RM108.22 billion, an 11 percent increase from RM97.56 billion in 2023.
