KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18: Traffic in parts of Klang Valley has been brought to standstill by flash floods after heavy rains in these areas.
Many netizens have reported in their social media networks of being stranded in these areas as rising waters have prevented them from travelling out.
Among the affected areas as of this evening include Seksyen 25 in Shah Alam, and near Persiaran Sukan near MSU, Jalan Kuchai Lama in Kuala Lumpur heading towards the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), the KL Seremban Highway heading towards Petron.
Jalan Istana near the Royal Muzium, Jalan Tun Razak heading to TREC as well as Jalan Cheras, Jalan Seri Permaisuri, Jalan Yew, Jalan Chan Sow Lin and Jalan Desa Bakti are also affected.
The areas affected in Petalling Jaya include Jalan Templer, the LDP near Nobel international school, Jalan Utara, as well as the NPE near Angkasapuri, and on the Federal Highway near the Cable Bridge
