Maldives President Muizzu Approves Law Banning Entry Of Israelis

NEW DELHI, April 15 (Bernama) — The Maldives has approved a law banning Israelis from visiting the country.

President Mohamed Muizzu ratified the amendment to the Maldives Immigration Act after its passage by the People’s Majlis on Tuesday.

The provision expressly prohibits the entry of individuals holding Israeli passports into the Maldives, Muizzu’s office said in a statement.

“The ratification reflects the government’s firm stance in response to the continuing atrocities and ongoing acts of genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people,” it said.
