More than 7,000 opportunities at job fair in Penang from June 3-4

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 – More than 7,000 job opportunities will be up for the take at Perkeso’s MyFutureJobs career fair career to be held in Penang this weekend (June 3-4).

Those seeking employment including school leavers, fresh graduates, and OKU(Orang Kurang Upaya) as well as professionals seeking career advancements to attend on spot interviews to be held by 56 employers from various sectors during the fair.

A short video clip featuring Bagan Member of Parliament Lim Guan Eng urging people to take up the opportunities has been also released together with a statement released today.

The two-day job fair will be held at the Butterworth Arena beginning this Saturday 3rd June.

Among the sectors participating in Perkeso’s MyFutureJobs career fair are manufacturing, banking and finance, insurance, transportation, logistics with 90 percent of the companies located in Penang.

The fair will also provide other services such as guidance for preparing resumes.

Housewives in Bagan and Penang as well as other northern states are also encouraged to come over to register and get social protection coverage at as low as RM10 a month, the statement said.

Some of the participating companies at the job fair include Bosch, POS Logistics, Jabil, Greenjobs Malaysia, Sports Direct and 99 Speedmart.

Guan Eng is expected to join Human Resources Minister V.Sivakumar during the official launch of the fair on Sunday, June 4th.
