KOTA KINABALU, March 19 (Bernama) — The remains of Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sandakan correspondent Nur Adika Bujang, who was found dead at her home in Taman Perumahan IJM, Batu 6, Sandakan on Sunday, was flown to Kota Kinabalu for burial today.
The coffin carrying her body departed on a Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) Cessna Caravan CE208 aircraft from Sandakan and arrived at the Sabah Police Air Operations Force (PGU) Base in Kota Kinabalu at 11.10 am.
The pilot in command was Captain ASP Chan Chee Veng, assisted by Insp Low Xi Hu.
Several of Nur Adika’s family members, including her mother Nafsiah Bubin were also on board the flight.
Earlier, the post-mortem on the body was completed at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan.
Nur Adika served with Bernama as a journalist for nearly 20 years, beginning on Oct 31, 2005, and was appointed Sandakan correspondent on Jan 1, 2019.
