TELUK INTAN, Aug 5: The wonders of Teluk Intan buildings – and there are simply too many – were recently showcased via an exhibition at the town’s library.

A group of architechural students of the USCI University presented the unique features of the various buildings found in this town, which once served as a major port town of the Perak state, with its strategic natural harbour as well as railway, customs and other facilities.

The exhibition was also part of promotions by the Teluk Intan Tourism Association to promote the town as a unique tourist destination with its various attractive features as well as stories from the past including its rich cultural heritage, interesting political stories including its administration under the British rule.

Another exhibition will be also held from Sept 13-15, said the association’s chairperson Fong Seow Kai Chuan in a WhatsApp message to Weekly Echo.
