UAE, Morocco sign declaration towards solid, innovative partnership

ABU DHABI, Dec 5: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Morocco have inked a groundbreaking declaration aimed at fostering a solid and innovative partnership, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported. 

The strategic alliance, which was signed during Morocco’s King Mohammed VI’s visit to the UAE, is poised to reshape the economic, trade, and investment landscapes, unlocking new avenues for development and prosperity in both nations.

The signing ceremony between King Mohammed VI and UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi saw the agreements span various key sectors, promising to reshape the economic landscape and strengthen ties between the two nations.

The MoUs, ranging from high-speed train projects and water sector investments to developmental initiatives and energy cooperation, were exchanged in a significant ceremony attended by top officials.

Among the projects are high-speed train projects, set to revolutionise Morocco’s high-speed train projects, with the UAE’s Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Morocco’s Director General of ONCF (Office national des chemins de fer) at the helm.

UAE and Morocco also join forces for transformative initiatives in the water sector development, with cooperation between the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Morocco’s Equipment and Water Minister.

A partnership in innovative developmental projects was also established, aimed at elevating both economies, as the UAE’s Minister of Investment collaborates with Morocco’s Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the Budget.
