Zoom Unveils AI-Driven Zoom Docs to Revolutionise Workplace Collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6: Zoom Video Communications, Inc. has announced the launch of Zoom Docs, an AI-first collaborative document solution designed to optimise productivity and streamline teamwork across the Zoom Workplace.

Starting today, Zoom Docs is available to users, powered by Zoom AI Companion, the company’s generative AI assistant, at no additional cost.

“Zoom Docs is our first Zoom Workplace product with generative AI built in from the ground up; it effortlessly transforms information from Zoom Meetings into actionable documents and knowledge bases, so teams can stay focused on meaningful work,” Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom said in a statement.

“Zoom Docs is included at no additional cost with Zoom Workplace paid licenses, creating even more value for our customers. With AI Companion available every step of the way, Zoom Docs is purpose-built to empower people to ‘work happy’ and give them more time back in their day,” she added.

Zoom Docs addresses critical challenges faced by modern workforces, such as time wasted on repetitive tasks, information overload, and cross-functional alignment.

By leveraging Zoom AI Companion to convert meeting outcomes into actionable documents, Zoom Docs jumpstarts content creation and adapts to various individual and team needs, boosting productivity.

Zoom Docs’ AI-first capabilities enhance collaboration and productivity by keeping information organised and reducing silos. Some potential use include:
* Meeting Collaboration: Simplifies meeting collaboration by transforming meeting content into meaningful documents, centralising meeting summaries, and facilitating co-editing within meetings.
* Business Documents: Facilitates content generation, revision, summarisation, and translation for global teams, making it easy to create business proposals, reports, and more.
* Project Planning: Provides time-saving templates for project briefs and tracking, consolidating project-related materials, and improving visibility across progress tracking, status updates, and timelines. *

* Information Hub: Useful for creating knowledge bases, team onboarding, and goal tracking, allowing users to build robust wikis for a single source of information.

With AI Companion, Zoom Docs simplifies work and centralises information for optimal results. Its Editable Docs turns AI Companion meeting summaries into easily editable documents, freeing up time spent on note-taking.
Other benefits include:
* Content Generation: Generates content based on AI Companion meeting transcripts, using custom or preset commands to create and revise content.
* Content Revision: Revises and summarizes content, changes tone and style, catches grammatical errors, and translates content into multiple languages for multilingual teams.

Zoom Docs also enhances collaboration before, during, and after meetings, empowering users to stay aligned and achieve better results and allows users to start and schedule meetings from a Zoom Doc, create, share, and co-edit documents during meetings, and streamline permission sharing.
